When it comes to pro wrestling reporting, Dave Meltzer is a pioneer

and a legend. I mean, he's been doing this. He's been in the industry since the 1970s.

And his knowledge of pro wrestling is just, it's so deep. And one of the first things that he talks

about here, and I think it's something that more people need to know is he does so much more than just star ratings for matches. He has a tremendous

insight, pun intended, about the business side of wrestling. And so often, more often than not,

the rumors that he reports end up coming true.

Who really is Dave Meltzer?

And I got to say, he deserves a ton of credit for paving the way for the

widespread coverage of wrestling news that websites have right now. I mean, he was doing this well

before the internet was even a thing. And there's just so much more to Dave than wrestling fancy.

And I hope that you see that through this

episode. When it does come to the ratings, I really have to say it was so interesting finding out

what goes into the amount of stars that a match gets. What does it come down to? He breaks that all down

for us. And whether you agree with his ratings or not, I think that people forget this is one person giving one opinion, one person giving his own

opinion.
