Now here's a highlight from Coast to Coast AM on iHeartRadio.

0:04.8

And welcome back to Coast to Coast George Nori with you Marcus.

0:07.6

Chan with us as we will be talking about all things space.

0:11.7

What is it about the universe that excites you Marcus?

0:15.9

I suppose the most exciting thing for me at the moment is that we

0:22.1

can only see two and a half percent of it.

0:24.6

Okay, so we've now discovered incredibly our 350 years of soil

0:29.2

that the visible stuff, the stars and galaxies, the planets, you and me,

0:34.8

accounts for 5% of the universe, 5% of the mass of the universe.

0:39.7

And only half of that 5%, 2 and a half percent, we actually see with our telescopes.

1:04.2

So we say there's stuff that's got gravity but we literally can't see it.

1:08.4

And about 70% is what we call dark energy.

And that was only discovered in 1998.

1:13.6

Can you believe it?

1:14.3

The major mass component of the universe, we didn't know about until 1998,

1:19.1

which is like 22 years ago.

1:22.1
