Summary

Danny is from New Lenox, Illinois and attended Providence Catholic High School, which is also Kevin's alma mater. He actually helped coach special teams for PC Kevin's senior year. Danny found his way on to the team by attending the Iowa Special teams summer camp, and having a self confidence like no other. He tells the story of his naïve assumptions about how easy it would be for him to play and start for the Hawks. In the line of Long Snappers, it was him, then Andy Schultz, the Kreiter, then Kluver. He discusses learning to snap, and eventually making his way on to the field, as well as his philosophy within the specialist meeting room and carrying on the tradition that Baker and Kaeding set before him. We talk about his favorite memories from wearing the black and gold, talking crap to punt returners, going back and forth with Coach Doyle, and more. Then on the back end we talk about his unique position in the Hawkeye community as he is married to Dan Gable's daughter. We talk about his time around Gable, the time he asked Dan to train him for a wrestling tournament, legendary Gable Tales, and more!If you love the show and want to show support, tell your friends!
