Summary

In this episode of The Align Podcast, Danielle and I dive deep into our emotions, what they mean and how to tap into our consciousness. We debate the masculine and feminine energies and how each of us has a different right of passage when growing up. We then discuss the ego, what it means and how it differs from wisdom. Danielle also tells us how her perception of the heart shifted over the years, what the best kind of therapy is and how to be your healthiest self.

Danielle LaPorte is a member of Oprah’s SuperSoul 100 a group who, in Oprah Winfrey’s words, “is uniquely connecting the world together with a spiritual energy that matters.”

The former director of a future studies think tank in Washington, DC, where she managed a team creating global scenarios. She now speaks about the intelligence of the heart.

Her most recent book, How To Be Loving…when your heart is breaking open and the world is waking up, is also an Audiobook + ebook, with a companion deck and journal. Danielle is also the author of The Fire Starter Sessions, The Desire Map, White Hot Truth, and producer of dozens of meditation kits and online programs for spiritual support.

Danielle is the creator of the Heart-Centered Membership and the Heart-Centered Leadership Program with 400+ leaders in 30 countries hosting conversation circles, retreats, and workshops in all kinds of communities and businesses.

Relationships trauma work things for the sort and she has a new book out presently called How to Be Loving, which I really enjoyed and I think it's a real art and craft and science to open oneself up to love to another person to themselves to the world and I know I personally have spent I would say most of my life with some level of reservation around that and one of the most rewarding things, actions, experiences that I've had is leaning into that leaning into what those fears are

0:53.7

where do they come from where are they stored in the body and then how do we go in and

process some of the stored emotion from the past so that we can

1:44.0

Oh, well. I mean, it's ever evolving. I had a similar question for you actually.

1:48.0

It wasn't the word align. It was about the heart.

1:51.0

And I am the definition presently would be coherence between the mind and the body, the heart, I would say that I would say it's

2:08.9

coherence you know of what you think what you feel what you desire what you're actualizing in your life

2:16.7

And I think I'm presently that definition is coming much more into a lot more weight is being held around relationship with the heart in relation to the mind and

2:28.9

many people in the modern world, you know myself for most of my life, have been very mind dominated.

2:36.6

And so finding coherence between not just the mind and the heart, but the mind and the heart
