Oh, it's so powerful.

My soul needed to be in this room, given the week that we just had.

It was crazy as we got to be in here Thursday night for worship night, just calling on God.

And it didn't hit me until we actually got an email from someone who's in Germany when everything

was going down in Ukraine.

And they said, how crazy is this?

That the week the Taliban took over in Afghanistan, we had a worship night almost right after

that officially happened and called on God to do what only he can do to protect people there.

And then this is happening the exact day.

We don't schedule these worship nights often.

We have like five a year.

And we're going, this is not an accident.

We get to stand in the gap for people.

But it was also a sobering reminder that even when the news cycle moves on from a catastrophe, that's not when it ends.

Even as we're talking about what's happening in Ukraine this week, Christians are dying

in Afghanistan. Christians are dying all over the world. Terrible things are happening.

Hunger exists. Poverty exists. Difficulty, rape, slavery, like all these issues are always persisting.

Not to mention all the things that we're carrying in a wealthy, prosperous country, we got

real issues and real problems and real tragedies that we need God to come and invade our

space.

And as you think about all that, I think this week was a reminder of just how

evil the world is, but also begs the question, where is God in all of this? We understand God allows
