Summary
The Amazon Prime runaway success that is ‘Maxton Hall’ is back with season 2 and you’ve probably already binged it because you’re gagging to know what happened between James (Damian Hardung) and Ruby (Harriet Herbig-Matten). In an out of studio sit-down in NYC with Damian and the artist known as SYML — responsible for the break-out song “Where’s My Love” from season 1 — we get into it. We find out all about Hardung’s early years growing up in Cologne, how he got into acting, the chemistry and friendship between him and his co-star, the evolution of his character and the book versus the show.
There’s also some heady discussions about fame, commercial viability, validation, and visibility, not to mention the blurring of lines between character and human. We find out how SYML fits into the the mix and how he contributed to season 2. And did you know Hardung is halfway through medical school? Yeah, he’s a talent alright.
