You guys have heard me quote this a million times. I'm going to quote it again.

J. I. Packer. He says, a half-truth that masquerades itself as a whole truth is a whole lie there's more than one

way to be deceitful right the only way to be deceitful is not just to say some not just to make a false

statement but to make a true statement in such a way that leaves out other pertinent and relevant

true information in such a way that it would

cause people to like you, but they ultimately would be harmed because of it.

They would be deceived.

There's a whole other sector of the truth that you are leaving out solely because you

love yourself.

I truly believe that if Jesus was incarnate on earth today,

he would point the finger. I believe at over half of American evangelical pastors, and he had

speak to them the very same way he spoke to the Pharisees. You love the glory that comes from men

more than the glory that comes from God.

You do this in the name of loving people, wanting to be kind to people, wanting to be sweet and

nice to people. It is not love for others. It is love for yourself. You would rather be liked by

others than actually help save others.
