Mark chapter 4, verse 36 through 41, says this, and leaving the crowd, they took him being Jesus,

with them being his disciples, in the boat

just as he was. And other boats were with him, and a great windstorm arose, and the waves were

breaking into the boat so that the boat was already filling with water. But he, being Jesus,

was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him, teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?

And he awoke and he rebuked the wind and the sea and said, peace, be still.

And the wind ceased.

And there was a great calm.

The storm was over.

And he said to them, the disciples disciples why are you so afraid have you still

no faith and notice this this is key to everything verse 41 and they were filled with great fear

and said to one another who then is this that even the wind and the sea obey him?

Notice this. The disciples were afraid of the storm.

Jesus calms the storm. The storm is now gone, no longer a threat.

And the disciples go from afraid of a storm to exceedingly afraid of Jesus.
