God builds others up in his sovereignty with his scalpel, with the tool of suffering.

But if we think for a moment that the only tool that God has at his disposal for our sanctification,

our building up, is is suffering then we have

actually a perverse and warped view of our Heavenly Father God actually builds

us up not exclusively by suffering but through both suffering and blessing.

It's not just God is sanctifying me when I suffer,

and He is in some sense abandoned me when I prosper.

That is not biblical theology.

God as a good father, just as you do with your children,

he builds us up through the rod and with the blessing,
