problem was apparently he has an allergy uh to the materials in his batting gloves and it causes

blisters and rashes on him wow i mean what what are the friggin' odds yeah so. So this is, you know, and this is affecting his hands, which obviously you need to have in top shape if you want to be playing at that elite level.

So the Yankees medical team finally identified the issue and explained that the chemicals used in the leather curing and dying process for the batting gloves

are causing the issues.
