Hi, today is the eighth day of August. A Tuesday morning Kathy's out. I'll handle the news

duties. We will begin with the severe storms. They sweat through the Delaware Valley region Monday

night, bringing down trees and power lines and triggering several tornado warnings. In Delaware

County, the Glen Mills area took the brunt of the harsh winds and rain. The storm left the mess

for some people, but many residents said that the weather went by quickly. Roads were shut down due

to trees falling on power lines. And some residents said they could see smoke billowing in the air.

There are no reports of injuries in the Delaware County area so far. In Philadelphia,

branches were scattered in streets. Trees were toppled over throughout the city. One large tree

was brought down near the Rocky statue outside of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

A short distance away, a tree blocked off Kelly dry near the temple building.
