Good morning in the news this morning. Philadelphia police are investigating a double

shooting that injured a mother and a daughter at a pizza restaurant in the city's Mayfair

neighborhood. The suspect is in custody thanks to the heroics of employees,

customers, and the man who is the husband and father of the victims.

It happened just before 9pm Wednesday at Mayfair Pizza located in the 7400 block of Farringford

Avenue. Please say gunfire erupted after a robbery attempt inside the pizza shop.

A 65-year-old woman was shot in the stomach and her 34-year-old daughter was shot in the shoulder.

That's when people, other people inside the shop jumped into action.

The husband and father of the two women who were shot is also the owner of the restaurant.

He struggled with the 19-year-old perpetrator and an employee and two customers jumped

in to help as well. The victims who work at the business were taken to Jefferson

towards Del Hospital and placed in stable condition. The suspect has not been identified.

Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner released disturbing details Wednesday
