A Philadelphia firefighter who suffered multiple injuries while battling a fire

on Saturday morning remains hospitalized.

Randy Ballinger with latter 13 of the Philadelphia Fire Department fell nearly 25 feet from a roof

at a two-story row home in the 1100 block of South Paxon Street in the city's

King's Sessing neighborhood. A go-fun me had been started by his fellow

firefighters to help his family with the cost of medical bills.

His injuries listed online include a collapsed lung broken ribs, a broken pelvis,

and multiple long bone fractures in both legs.

By Monday morning the go-fun me had raised over $44,000 reaching closer to its goal of 50,000.

Ballinger said in good spirits as he remains hospitalized, he is expected to have more

surgeries today on top of the procedures from over the weekend.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation and no other injuries were reported.

in a floor balcony collapsed in C.I.L. The collapse happened at 220 Friday on the 3600 block

of a boardwalk at the Spinnaker South Tower condo building. According to officials, a person
