Good morning and the news this morning. New details were released in the killing of a Temple

University police officer on Saturday night in North Philadelphia. Officer Christopher Fitzgerald

was shot in the 1700 block of Montgomery Avenue shortly after 7pm. A suspect 18-year-old

Miles Feffer was arrested at 6am Sunday at his family home in Buckingham Township.

According to court documents, Feffer's mother picked him up at 29th street in Ridge Avenue

near the location where the car-jacked vehicle was found and drove him back to Buckingham Township.

The documents did not specify whether Feffer's mother had any knowledge about what happened

when she picked him up. Court documents also show that one of the two teens with Feffer that

evening was his brother. In those documents, police say both Feffer's brother and the other

teen were able to identify Miles after watching video footage of the incident. And arrest warrant

for Feffer was approved based on that information. A team of officers from multiple local and

federal agencies executed a search warrant at 6am Sunday on Quarry Road in Buckingham Township

and took Feffer into custody. Feffer waved his rights and the information he provided,

provided them led to the charges of murder, murder of a law enforcement officer,

possession of an instrument of crime and disarming a law enforcement officer.

The weapon used in the shooting has not been recovered, sources say that Feffer may have
