that diamond but you know what a lot of stuff happened that day at Z-100 here in New York City. We had people moving in from Houston to take over the radio station, including Tom Pullman, who was the program director, Sharon Daster, the assistant program director, and the music director was Cubby. Cubby. Hi.

0:54.8

I'm here.

1:45.8

I moved from the afternoon show at Z100 to Mornings, and you took over my afternoon show. Correct. My first day on the air was your first morning show. And wouldn't there a controversy about when the show started? But I'm telling you, it was today. I believe you. April 22nd, 1996. Don't beat the furniture. Yeah. And I walked in and you were doing your first show and I wasn't quite the afternoon guy yet. I was a night guy at the time. But little did I know I was going to be taking over your shift eventually. They didn't know what they were going to do with afternoons. Remember Joe Maeter was on for a while? I have no idea. Don't remember. I don't even know what I had for breakfast yesterday. But I remember you guys had margaritas flowing. You had food all over the place. I'm like, wow, this is New York City. Nothing's changed. I've made it. Well, so we're making a big about us in our 30th year, but this is your 30th day as well. 30th your it's not about me but I appreciate that yeah 30 years on New York radio obviously it is about you because you walked into

You did that one time, by the way, and I feel guilty. About three years ago, I posted about that. You did the other day. I saw it. I did not. Yes, you did. Maybe on my story I did, but that doesn't count.

Send him away. There's a post, there's a story. But see, we were talking about 30 years ago, and I came to Z-100, 40 years ago, and I never thought I would be in New York City. Correct. So you walked into Z-100 in New York City that first day, changed your life. Well, keep in mind, we had a lot to do, guys. I mean, we had, we're bottom of the barrel.

2:35.9

Yep.

2:36.1

And you were the morning show savior. And then the music cycle came our way because, you know, Z-100 was pretty alternative at the time. And me and Tom Pullman and Sharon Daster and you, we knew that we had a chance to either be heroes or zeros.

2:52.0

They were going to fire us.

2:53.1

Yeah, it was either turns you 100 around or we're done.
