Hello, everybody, and welcome to another edition of the first pitch podcast on pitcher list.

My name is Trevor Hooth and baseball.

Man, we are getting to the end of the regular season.

My Tigers are, well, they're trying their best.

Let's put it that way.

Hey, they finally won.

That's a good thing, right?

Anyway, let's jump right in.

We got some baseball to talk about, of course, starting with the news, not a whole lot of it today, but a few things to take note of.

Jeremy Pena of the Astros has an oblique strain.

He's not on the IL.

This was originally classified as more of a day-to-day thing, maybe just a couple days, but it seems like this could keep him out for a while longer. And this comes in addition to losing Jordan Alvarez, which, I mean, this, they're hoping to make the playoffs. They're vying for a spot here, and that's not great to lose both of those bats out of your lineup.

They're thinking this Jeremy Pena thing could extend on a little bit longer rather than just the couple days it was supposed to be.

So whatever level of injury is to Jeremy Pena's oblique. It is not looking that good right now.

We'll see how much longer he is out of that Astros lineup.

Moving on to the Blue Jays, Jose Barrios lands on the injured list as Toronto's pitching takes, well, another hit.

They didn't recently say Jose Brrios was going to work out of the bullpen.

Then Chris Bassett landed on the IL.

So not good news.

Brios is dealing with an elbow issue.
