Hello and welcome to another edition of the first pitch podcast on pitcher list.

My name is Trevor Huth.

If you're joining me in the live stream, well, hey, we just got done with that 12-inning marathon

that was the Mariners and Angels game just ended on a Harry Ford sack fly with the bases loaded.

A crazy game there, but we'll talk about the games coming up.

In just a little bit, first of course, we are going to dive in, talk about some of the news.

The Blue Jays have designated Orelvis Martinez for assignment and activated Alec Manoa from

the 60-day IL. The Alec-oa from the 60 day IL.

The Alec Manoa part of that transaction is kind of just they had to do it.

He had reached his limit and had to come off the IL.

So he's been rehabbing in AAA.

It has not been going well for him.

So he's immediately optioned to AAA.

This does not affect the big league club at all.

The bigger and perhaps more surprising news

comes with the DFAing of Arovis Martinez. He's been one of their top prospects in the past.

He had debuted. Of course, he had his 80 game suspension back in 2024 and just never quite put it together this year,

hitting sub 200 and a 28% strikeout rate.

So not the guy that he has been in the past.

And we'll see if another team takes a chance on him.
