Let's dive into everything baseball related from Wednesday, August 6th.

We'll start it off as always with the transactions, injuries, news and notes from around the league, kicking things off at the bad news.

A second baseman Tyro Estrada was placed on the 10-day IL with a hamstring strain.

It's been an injury, a riddled campaign for the Rockies offseason acquisition, but unfortunately he'll spend

probably the majority of the rest of the season on the IL.

And the corresponding move, second baseman Adiel Amador was recalled from the miners.

He's expected to take over as the Rockies' everyday second baseman moving forward.

In terms of transactions, starting pitcher Cade Cavali was recalled from the miners

to make his first start in the majors.

Since 2022, he took on the A's and looked pretty solid, tossing four and a third

scoreless innings, allowing just three hits and one walk while punching out six.

Most notably, he induced 19 whiffs to tie for the

Gallows poll on Tuesday, on Wednesday, as he tied with George Kirby for the most whiffs in baseball

on Wednesday. He also produced 30% in CSW across 88 pitches, so really great to see Kavali

come back strong after such a long absence. I'm excited to see
