Let's dive into everything baseball related from Tuesday, July 1st. We'll start it off, as always, with our transactions, injuries, news and notes from the past week, kicking things off at the bad news as third baseman.

0:43.1

Christian Koss was placed on the 10-day IL with a hamstring strain.

0:47.0

1:33.2

Paul De Jong was activated from the 10-day IEL. He had been out for two months after being hit

1:39.0

in the face by a pitch which broke his nose and his orbital, which is the bone around his eye.

1:45.2

DeYoung is likely on the short side of a DH platoon for the Nationals, and in the field,

1:50.4

he'll see most of his time at third base in a corresponding move.

1:54.0

Andris Shaparo was optioned to the miners.

1:56.8
