Let's dive into everything baseball related from Sunday, June 29th. We'll start it off as always with the transactions, injuries, news, and notes from around the league kicking things off with the bad news.

As outfielder, Luis Robert Jr. was placed on the 10-day IL with a hamstring strain.

It looks like Michael A. Taylor is expected to take over every day in center field for the White Sox until Luis Robert Jr.

has returned healthy from his hamstring strain.

In terms of transactions, starting pitcher Marcus Stroman was activated from the 15-day

IL to start versus the A's.

He had been out for a while with knee inflammation and Stroman in his return tossed

five innings,

allowing three hits and one and run while walking two and striking out just one,

inducing four whiffs with 18% CSW across 74 pitches.

So clearly still has a little bit of ironing out of his skills to do four whiffs.

18% CSW is not going to cut it.

It doesn't suggest that the one and run across five innings is sustainable.

Alan Weinens was optioned to the miners in a corresponding move to make room for Stroman.

Our other transaction involves starting pitcher Jonathan Cannon, who was activated from the 15-day IL to start versus the giants. He had been out for a while with a lower back strain,

and he was limited in his return tossing three endings, allowing three hits and one and run, walking three while striking out four, inducing nine whiffs with 29% CSW across 69 pitches to make some room for Cannon on the roster.
