With me again, my good friend Will Gillery covers the pelicans for the athletic will. What's up?

I'm back like I never left, man. Actually, I didn't leave, but you know, we're back.

I love talking rookies. I could probably just do a podcast every week, just about rookies and how they're doing.

Because I just find, I find almost every class interesting, but this class in particular, there's a lot of intrigue around this class.

And particularly at the top, I think everybody wants to watch the guys at the top.

But I wanted to just go through some rookies that, and Will covers the draft and these guys too.

Like Will knows these guys well. So I want to start off with a super duper homer pick.

If you don't know me, I cover the Oklahoma City Thunder and live in Oklahoma City.

But somebody that is crazy intriguing to me is Josh Gidey.

The way that he played in his first preseason game opened up a lot of eyes, including mine, as to what he could be in the NBA.

He's got a pretty big frame. He's got to fill that out some, but he's still 18.

It doesn't turn 19 until October 10. So we're talking about a really, really young player who came onto the court, played, you know, like a pretty mature way was just played at his own pace.

He was finding guys. He was whipping passes across the court with his off hand.

You know, finding guys right in the pocket. He was getting rebounds. He was pushing the break. He had a nice ending out.

There's just some stuff and there's some grit to Josh Gidey that I think people will really like because he.
