before you put anything to your lips today, before you drink, before you eat, offer it to me in your

way, not in the way of your mother or your father or your sister or your cousin, your human teacher,

man whose breath is in his nostrils, offer it to me in the way I show you in your heart.

Finally, offer it to me genuinely. This is beyond traditions. This is beyond spiritual practices

that are done sometimes and forgotten at others, abandoned, practiced, imperfectly.

In that moment, as you raise your cup,

fill me.

Fill me raising it, lifting you up, and then drink of me.

You hear these words, they're not words. They're food. That's why you leave

here full and able to share, ready to give. These words are rest. If you keep coming back here,

you'll receive the rest of what you come here for. I know you still look, you still wait,

you still refresh your inbox, check your phone. No one knows when I'm coming, but you know I'm

here and so I don't fault your anticipation. Just keep your eye on love.

Your eye has become love.

And everything else will come in time.

It will be on time.
