Hello and welcome to the Daily Clone here on a Monday of the bye week.

It is a welcome bye week.

I know I am excited to sit on the couch all day, Saturday, eat some Fairway skinless brots, and watch a great day of Big 12 football.

You should do the same hit up your local fairway meat and grocery.

But as excited as I am for the bye week, I'm sure it doesn't compare to how excited.

Matt Campbell and his team are excited for it.

It's been a unique 4-0 start, about as unique of any 4-0 starts in iowa state history and that has

brought challenges both physically and mentally this by-week comes at a great time i think it's huge

and i think you evaluate it with honesty you know i think you're very proud of what these guys have

done nobody's been able to do at least what they've done so far in college football, which from the Ireland piece of it is really proud. You're proud of their ability to hang in there. And man, today was tough. You know, today, you know, I said that at the end of the half of the last week's game, you know, this is where you can get yourself caught. And we didn't. We didn't flinch, we didn't waver, we played right through it. And so that part of it's exciting.

Now the reality is week four in the football season.

And there's a lot of work. Great teams in college football by the end of the season are great because of how you get better weekend and week out. And that's going to be a great challenge for this team. myself included as the head football coach, our coaches and our players.
