I'm Brian, it is wonderful to be here with you today.

As we take the next step forward in our journey that leads us through the entire Bible.

And an entire year.

Here we are on the 25th day of October.

So we kind of know where we are in the year, which gives us a good sense of where we are in the Bible.

And specifically where we are in the Bible is in the Book of Jeremiah,

at least in the Old Testament.

And we will conclude the Book of Jeremiah during this week and then move forward from there.

But we're not there yet.

Today we're reading from the New Living Translation.

Jeremiah, chapter 48, verse 1, through 49, verse 22.

This message was given concerning Moab.

This is what the Lord of Heaven's armies, God of Israel says.

What sorrow awaits the city of Nibbou? It will soon lie in ruins.

The city of Kariat theom will be humiliated and captured.

The fortress will be humiliated and broken down.

No one will ever brag about Moab again. For in Heshban, there is a plot to destroy her.

Come, they say. We will cut her off from being a nation.

The town of Madmen 2 will be silenced. The sword will follow you there.
