0:00.0	Today is the 23rd day of October. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian and it's
0:11.4	wonderful to be here with you as we greet a brand new shiny sparkly week.
0:17.8	The last full week of the month of October. Crazy but it's true. And so that's where we
0:26.7	find ourselves. This week we will read from the new living translation and we have been working
0:33.4	our way through the book of Jeremiah which is what we'll continue to do. We will actually
0:38.2	finish up the book of Jeremiah before this final week of the month is out. So let's dive in and
0:47.5	pick up where we left off yesterday. Jeremiah chapter 42 verse 1 through 44 verse 23.
0:58.0	Then all the military leaders including Johann Nance, son of Korea and Jazzaniah son of
1:11.2	Poshia and all the people from the least to the greatest approached Jeremiah the prophet. They said,
1:19.1	please pray to the Lord your God for us. As you can see we are only a tiny remnant compared to
1:27.3	what we were before. Praying that the Lord your God will show us what to do and where to go.
1:34.5	All right, Jeremiah replied, I will pray to the Lord your God as you have asked and I will tell
1:44.0	you everything he says. I will hide nothing from you. And they said to Jeremiah, may the Lord your
1:51.4	God be a faithful witness against us if we refuse to obey whatever he tells us to do. Whether we
1:58.4	like it or not we will obey the Lord our God to whom we are sending you with our plea. For if
2:04.4	we obey him everything will turn out well for us. 10 days later the Lord gave his reply to Jeremiah.
2:14.6	So he called for Johann Nance, son of Korea and the other military leaders and for all the people
2:20.1	from the least to the greatest. He said to them, you sent me to the Lord the God of Israel with your
2:28.6	request and this is his reply. Stay here in this land. If you do I will build you up and not tear
2:39.2	you down. I will plant you and not uproot you. For I am sorry about all the punishment I have had
2:47.1	to bring upon you. Do not fear the King of Babylon anymore says the Lord, for I am with you and will
2:54.3	save you and rescue you from his power. I will be merciful to you by making him kind. So he will
