Today is the 30th day of July. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian. It is wonderful

to be here with you today as we greet a brand new shiny sparkly new week and this shiny

sparkly brand new beginning comes at the very end of a month. So we will begin the week

and before the week is over, we will transition into a brand new month, the month of August.

Well, let's stay here in July for a couple more days. We have a couple more steps to take

in the scriptures and like we said at the beginning, our journey takes us through every book,

every chapter, every verse of the Bible. And we have to take every step, every day to make

that happen. And so, let's take the next step forward together. This week, we will read from

the Christian standard Bible. And we have been navigating our way through the book of second

chronicles for a while now. We will be transitioning out our second chronicles and moving forward

this week as well. Before today, second chronicles, chapters 26, 27, and 28.

All the people of Judah took Uzziah, who was 16 years old and made him king in place of his

father Amaziah. After Amaziah, the king rested with his ancestors, Uzziah rebuilt

a lot and restored it to Judah. Uzziah was 16 years old when he became king and he

reigned 52 years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Jekoliah. She was from Jerusalem.

He did what was right in the Lord's sight just as his father Amaziah had done. He sought God

throughout the lifetime of Zechariah, the teacher of the fear of God. During the time that he

sought the Lord, God gave him success. Uzziah went out to wage war against the Philistines

and he tore down the wall of Gath, the wall of Jebne, and the wall of Ashtod. Then he built cities

in the vicinity of Ashtod and among the Philistines. God helped him against the Philistines,

the Arabs that live in Gurrabal and the Munites. The Ammonites paid tribute to Uzziah and his

fame spread as far as the entrance of Egypt. For God made him very powerful. Uzziah built towers
