Today is the 4th day of August.

Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible, I am Brian and I am thrilled that we could be together

to take the next step forward on this grand voyage through the Bible this year.

Today is a day of endings and beginnings, we've been working our way through 2nd Chronicles

for quite some time now and we have reached the final step.

So we will conclude 2nd Chronicles today and even as we conclude 2nd Chronicles will

flip the page into the New Testament and begin a brand new letter called First Corinthians.

So we will be transitioning into some new territory as we continue through this week

and obviously we will fly over the territory we're about to encounter and give ourselves

a little context as we begin but as we begin today we're ending.

So 2nd Chronicles, Chapter 35 and 36 today.

Josiah observed the Lord's Passover and slaughtered the Passover lambs on the 14th day of the

1st month. He appointed the priests to their responsibilities and encouraged them to serve

in the Lord's temple. He said to the Levites who taught all Israel the holy things of the

Lord. Put the holy ark in the temple built by Solomon son of David, King of Israel.

Since you do not have to carry it on your shoulders, now serve the Lord your God and

his people Israel. Organize your ancestral families by your divisions according to

the written instruction of King David of Israel and that of his son Solomon. Serve in

the holy place by the groupings of the ancestral families for your brothers, the lay people

and according to the division of the Levites by family. Slot the Passover lambs, consecrate

yourselves and make preparations for your brothers to carry out the Word of the Lord through
