I'm Pete Mundo as the Iowa State Cyclones have spring practice in the rear view mirror, as does most of college football.

I think all of college football is wrapped up by now.

And obviously, Iowa State's a team that is going to have a top 10 preseason ranking.

And Chris, when I just say that, like we know three months out, Iowa State is going to be a top 10 team in America and no one's

going to think twice about it.

Like, do you pinch yourself?

What do you do?

Yeah, I mean, you really do.

I don't like to be the guy who is, you know, looking back at the past with Iowa State football, but I've been here long enough.

And I've been doing this since 2004. And there's so many times where I look back at during my

career and just think like, I never, I never thought Iowa State could even make a big 12 championship game.

You know, like with the new, I just remember when they went to 10 teams

and I'm like oh this is this is brutal for the Iowa states of the world right now you know they're a

legitimate college football playoff contender going to the next season and it really so Pete I do

the uh Athlon a bunch of stuff for them with the Big 12, and I do all the Iowa State stuff.

And I was going through this, I don't know, a month ago or whatever.

And you have to kind of project out a depth chart when you do that.

And it's always hard because you have to do it in like April because the magazine comes out in June.
