| 0:00.0 | Hey everybody, Rob now we're here. Welcome back to Tesla Daily. Today we've got an update |
| 0:11.1 | on the Tesla Cybertruck, a couple of pieces of news on Tesla in China, a small update |
| 0:15.5 | on the US EV credit, and a few other items as well. Looking at the stock, starting off |
| 0:20.0 | the week here with the strong reversal from Friday, a big underperformance from Tesla |
| 0:23.0 | today down 6.3% closing at $167.82 while the NASDAQ was up 1.3%. |
| 0:29.8 | Of course, a lot of people attributing this to various political or geopolitical comments |
| 0:33.9 | or just general noise from Elon Musk on Twitter over the weekend. Elon was even brought |
| 0:37.7 | on stage at a Dave Chappelle show this weekend in San Francisco received a mix of cheers |
| 0:41.7 | and booze, just a lot of noise around Elon right now. Fair enough, I do think that is a |
| 0:45.7 | likely contributor. It is probably worth noting that Rivian and Lucid both down 6 and 4.5% |
| 0:50.6 | today, respectively. Rivian did have a bit of news of their own that we'll talk about |
| 0:54.2 | that may have caused that. Lucid, not sure, but if you've got Tesla and Rivian both down, |
| 0:58.7 | maybe that drags Lucid down as well. So I'm hesitant to point to that and say, oh look, |
| 1:02.2 | it's just EV stocks that are down today. But it is interesting to see, and we did actually |
| 1:06.2 | get a little bit of news on the EV sector in general in the US because of that EV tax credit |
| 1:10.0 | update that we'll talk about here in a second. So I do kind of wonder if that or leaks |
| 1:13.8 | around that, maybe having an influence as well. |
| 1:16.2 | Alright, before we get into the news, let's take a quick look at the calendar. We're |
| 1:19.3 | starting off with volatility here on Monday, and this could continue to be a very volatile |
| 1:23.4 | week. Tomorrow morning we do have the CPI Consumer Press Index report. Expectations are |
| 1:28.0 | for that to be up 7.3% year over year or for Core CPI to be up 30 basis points month over |
| 1:33.4 | month. That will then set the expectations for Wednesday when we have the next FOMC meeting |
