| 0:40.0 | All right, welcome in gun talk nation fans. I am stealing the show today for Mr. Ryan Gresham. He does not get a choice in this because I am at facts and firearms with Emily and Dustin. |
| 0:53.0 | Hey there. You can talk. Well, he's a guy with a really cool hair. Yeah, we don't. I got my eye on you. Yeah. Well, it doesn't have to. We just really replaced Gresham. Yeah, guys. So like we're just a larger more poorly aged version. It's just a one for one hair spot. Yeah, that's all it is. But we're here at facts and we're touring the facilities. We're looking at all the cool stuff you guys got. |
| 1:22.5 | But give a little background on facts and because it's because I think a lot of the folks out there they understand that facts and does something within the firearms industry. And they may only have a little like a little sliver of the pie. |
| 1:38.5 | Yeah, so many people like have our stuff or have heard of us, but don't know the full story. Right. And I've actually only been here about five months. So I've been here. But Dustin, he's the pro. So I'll let him give a little background. |
| 1:50.5 | I mean, so the main thing to remember about facts and firearms is it didn't start as just facts and firearms. Bob and Barry facts and brothers who still own and operate facts and firearms today originally started in the machining business. And we talk about that and some of our materials and some of our video and podcasts and such. But they started back in the late 70s with facts and machining, which is still up and running. There's a lot of department of defense work. |
| 2:19.5 | We shared facility space with them up until last year when we moved into this building, which you guys toward today. So there just a few miles south of us and a suburb called Forest Park. But when they started, you know, it was originally Bob and Barry's older brother, David, who started the business and his family kind of went in mom and dad and brother and bought a little 5,000 square foot shop in Northside Cincinnati predominantly automotive at the very beginning and then moved to complete machining. |
| 2:48.5 | Within about a year or so. So they did a lot of automotive work, oil and gas, things like that. They moved into aerospace. They do a touch of medical now. They do department of defense work now. And then as facts and firearms began to grow, we're actually about to come up on our 10 year anniversary of facts and firearms being a legitimate brand and identity. |
| 3:11.5 | So they came to market first with the Iraq 21, which you guys shot some footage on today. And then from their birthed barrels and pistol parts and accessories and 1022 line, which we have some stuff on the table here today. |
| 3:27.5 | Which that's for the guys that like, I mean, like when you start looking at this and you start looking at upgrades. Yeah, I mean, I think that's what a lot of guys are starting to gravitate towards, especially like these new firearms owners. And you and I kind of talked about that that today. Yeah. |
| 3:40.5 | Is that like these new firearm owners, they're not going anywhere. I mean, they're not going anywhere. Now what's the next step in it? It's making it theirs. And I think that's one thing that a lot of folks know about facts and is. Yeah. |
| 3:52.5 | They have the ability to kind of make it their own, whether it's a block of Smith and Wesson, a sig, you know, you guys give these guys opportunities to make it that right. |
| 4:02.5 | Into the Gucci blocks right now. I mean, tried that. Yeah. I mean, and the whole thing is there are some people who, whether it's us or somebody else in the market, you know, they do like to come at it, whether it's like an aesthetic upgrade or it's a performance upgrade. |
| 4:18.5 | And I think we marry those two things together quite well. You know, the something that both Bob and Barry talked about a lot is the fellowship of firearms, which is something we believe in here that there's a communal aspect to it. |
| 4:30.5 | There's memories that are made with it, whether it's your first time hunting or your first time, you know, mom or dad taking you to the range or like we've talked with Emily a few weeks ago on the show about her past and cowboy action shooting. |
| 4:42.5 | You know, what it is. Yeah. And everybody kind of has their own route to it. But alongside of that is the high value proposition that I think that we give like yes, you might see an aesthetic upgrade to that's fantastic and we're glad you like that. |
| 4:59.5 | But you're also going to see a performance of right. You know, these these things aren't just pretty for the sake of being pretty. There's a functional reason behind them, even some of the barrels we have on the table right now. |
| 5:10.5 | You know, the gold and the chameleon coated barrels are a 10 PVD process. It's a tool coding it enhances lubricity. It keeps surface wear down it enhances the life of the barrel. |
| 5:22.5 | And it's pretty. |
| 5:23.5 | I know for men function. And now it was really cool about this is and we were talking about the chameleon. Yeah. If so our listeners out there. So if you're like if you're not visually listening or viewing this podcast. |
