We are off to our best start in a bunch of years, maybe since I came over here from WAAF,

and that is all thanks to you.

And as of this morning, you have donated over $2 million, $2,690,179.

And that, of course, includes unlocking that $1 million match from our friend Rob Hale yesterday.

So we are, it's day number two of the 23rd annual W.EEI Nesson Jimmy Fund Radio Telethon.

And we are at Fenway Park.

And we got a lot of stories this morning from patients,

those that are fighting this horrible disease, and from the doctors and the nurses at Dana Farber,

who are helping them do that.

And it was just all around a great day yesterday and a lot of great stories.

And I spent a lot of time yesterday listening and watching some of those who make this happen every year,

including one of this year's chairpersons, which is Brock Holt, who was on

yesterday afternoon.

And it's just great to see the way the Red Sox embrace this and have embraced it for so

long.

And we talked a little bit about it with Sam Kennedy yesterday, but it is by far the longest

ongoing philanthropical partnership between a charitable organization and a major league sports

franchise, and the rest of them aren't even close.

And there are teams that have tried, and there are charities that have tried all around

the country, but it's really because, I think, because where we live and because we're

lucky enough to live in the most generous region in the country.
