Summary

This week a Maryland judge overturned the conviction of Adnan Syed, who has been in jail for more than 20 years for murdering his ex-girlfriend Hae Min Lee. The case was made famous by the podcast Serial, and now a judge has said that the original prosecutors withheld information about two suspects who might have also committed the crime. 0:35.5	and how much family backstory you get into, it usually has to be cases that have been
0:40.9	resolved for a while. Pretty much long enough for people to write books about them.
0:45.0	Exactly. You know, I love a good true crime book. It's my favorite means of research. And
0:51.7	that means that when you guys request a case that's newer or ongoing, I usually can't do it.
0:58.9	So this is a way to introduce some of the cases where I'm okay saying, you know what? I don't
1:05.0	know that detail because it's breaking right now. After a bunch of discussion, we decided that
1:11.8	we'd be regularizing this series as a Patreon bonus feature and we'll be aiming to do it monthly.
1:18.0	Yes. And that doesn't mean that we won't always also release it or release a different
