I saw a ton of stories from publications on the left to the right about the state of young men and boys today. I think

some major studies were released from Pew and from others, and they seem to show conflicting

data. Let's start with this piece that's in the New York Times, and it says it's not just a feeling.

Data shows boys and young men are falling behind. And they show this is true for educational

achievement, mental health, and transitions to adulthood. So in terms of education, they say across

the U.S. girls score better on reading tests than boys. They earn higher GPAs, and boys are more

likely to be suspended.
