Thank you so much, Adri. Thank you for having me. And I'm so, so excited to share with your listeners a little bit about my story and the bit I've learned in the last decade or so on the science of

happiness. Well, I think a great place to start would be perhaps before we even dive into the

book, actually, if we could start by telling us about the World Happiness Summit, I'll be

honest, since reading about it, it sounds like something that is

right up my street. It is something that I really want to go to myself. So can you tell us about

it and most importantly, actually, why you created the summit? Absolutely. So first of all,

you're most welcome to come. That's important to get that out of the way. My story really is from

unhappiness. And so unfortunately, 11 years ago, last week actually, I lost my husband. He

died suddenly from the flu. So it's very much like COVID now that or that two years ago how people

were dying from from COVID the intubation all those different things the

pneumonia and in less than 10 days he was gone and so at first it was just shock

and trauma because it happened very, very quickly.
