pick up the coach in that situation. The coach is supposed to be guiding him. And I kept thinking

to myself as the play went on. I'm like, Pete's got to know he's not scoring on that play, right?

Yeah, he's not thinking about scoring. He's thinking about going in standing up because

nobody's telling him to slide A, and B is thinking about going in standing up because nobody's telling

him to slide a and b is thinking about going in standing up because the throw is going to go home

and if the throw gets away he wants to take off that's what he's thinking so he's just trying to

be aggressive he knows he needs to stop but he's just trying to get there and round the base i just

feel like a lot of base runners have been pretty sloppy about getting two bases and staying there.
