Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Tuesday, June 25th, 20204. Now this week, we are taking step number two in our journey through the corigma. We are talking about how sin is real and it separates us from

God. Before we talk about the reality of sin,

please join me in our June prayer, prayer to the sacred heart of Jesus. In the name of the

Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen. O most holy heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I adore you, I love you,

and with lively sorrow for my sins, I offer you this poor heart of mine. Make me humble,

patient, pure, and wholly obedient to your will. Grant good Jesus

that I may live in you and for you. Protect me in the midst of danger. Comfort me in my afflictions.

Give me health of body, assistance in my temporal needs,

your blessings on all that I do, and the grace of a holy death, amen.

So the first step in this part of the corigma is to just understand what sin is and that sin is real.

The catechism defines sin as any failure to offer genuine love to God and others.

So anytime I am selfish, I act out of anger or pride, and now generally we know

what is a sin, and that's another key part of a sin. We have to know that what we are doing

is wrong. You never commit a sin by accident. You know that what you are doing is wrong. You never commit a sin by accident. You know that what you are doing

is wrong. And we can sin through our actions. We can sin in our thoughts. We can sin in the words that we say.

We can also sin through an action. If someone needs help, but we don't help them.

If we could have said a kind word, but we didn't. If we could have lifted our mind to God through
