You are so formal. It was a big invite to get on the gun talk hunt. Yeah, walk across the hall. Say, hey, you want to get on the gun talk hunt. Please come over. Please save me. Yeah, I want to go hunting.

1:04.0

I like hunting a lot. I like hunting.

1:07.0

No, most people don't think of you as a hunter, but you're, I mean, you're one of the, I mean, you're a very big hunter. I'm an OG man. I've been hunting since I started hunting when I was probably like 19 years old. Yeah, and it started with crow hunting. It was used to be my absolute favorite.

1:25.0

Really? Yeah, it was the last time you shot a crow. I don't shoot him anymore because they're so smart to me and they're so neat to have around my property. I like the way they talk. I like the way they they're so smart because they can see color. They can count. They're very perceptive and it's been a long time since I've hunted crows, but it doesn't mean I wouldn't go back out and do it again. You would do it again. Um, so that's funny.

1:50.0

Uh, when I was, you know, I think it was my freshman year in college. So it was around like, I don't know 2000 or so. My dad found a nest of baby crow and he grabbed. He snatched one up and he raised it.

2:05.0

That's pretty cool. And like he would take it to the barber shop with him, probably totally not the sanitary thing to do. Like that's probably the last thing you want to do. But it would go out and there was a little tree out in front. And so it would go out of in the shop and it would wait on customers and they would follow him in and it would sit on. I mean, it's sit there and it would watch him get their haircut and everything else. And I think there was one big real story. Yes, absolutely 100% real. But he would raise it.

2:35.0

Um, when I was, when I was little, we had a crow and we called them Charlie. And this is a no BS story. And we would get off the school bus and we would all start y'all and Charlie, Charlie and Charlie would fly down. He would land on our shoulders. He would land on the ground. He would just come in and he would hang out with us. This year.

2:53.0

And it was the coolest thing. And then one day he was just gone. He probably got hurt. Yeah. Yeah. You probably went hunting. That was your first time. Well, we were little kids back then, but man, it was neat. It was my first experience with the intelligence of crows.

3:04.0

Oh, they're fascinating creatures. Like, and my dad used to raise them when he was, he was little and he had one and it hated his brother. And so it would die bomb his brother.

3:16.0

No, I'm sure his brother was picking on him. But yeah, I mean, such smart creatures. I mean, I had all the decoys, all the calls, all that stuff. You got to be full camo, no movement. You know, the crows have to be in the area.

3:30.0

We'd shoot at him. We'd call him back and we'd tell him, hey, it's okay. It's okay. It's okay. And they'd come back and they'd listen to you. And there'd be times when I'd be out there in the decoys, fold in the wings of the ones that we shot and you know, making them look nice.

3:43.0

And I just sit real still because they'd come back in and the guys that shoot him over me again, you know, really. And it was cool.

3:50.0

Is the saying true? Like, like, when you have to eat crows, it's typically a bad thing. Well, it's simply a bad thing.

4:00.0

There was a video way back when called eating crow. And they cooked them a lot like the cook dogs. They just brushed them and wrapped them in bacon and cooked them on the grill.

4:08.0

When there must be delicious. Yeah. Well, they say they're rats with wings, but signals are more of a rat than a, than a crow. I mean, crows.

4:15.0

Oh, yeah. To eat good stuff too. Just, I had, welcome to Crow talk. But we're talking about hunting. We're talking about hunting crows.

4:23.0

Last time I did it, I was, I was in Oklahoma and we had a big line of us and they were like serious about their crow hunting.
