There's been a lot of talk lately about refugees and new migrants arriving at the border with Mexico and some political pundits are blaming Joe Biden.

Folks, let's make no bones about it. There is a crisis at the border.

What we really need to be doing is stop incentivizing people to come over here.

This is inhumane. It is wrong and it is the direct consequence of policy decisions by the Biden administration.

The truth is, this is a decades old issue and during former President Donald Trump's tenure, migration to the US Southern border was already growing, especially during his last year in office.

This happened even after Trump implemented deterring policies such as the remain in Mexico program, the zero tolerance policy and Title 42 express expulsions.

Border Patrol facilities are currently full and the administration is opening more space for children to be held.

Right now, as we speak, there are nearly 19,000 unaccompanied migrant children in federal custody across the board.

Most of them, more than 14,000 are in shelters and emergency facilities overseen by the Department of Health and Human Services.

Here outside the Donna facility, you can see and hear the construction underway as the Biden administration scrambles to stand up.
