What words the intro sometimes at work when you're not supposed to be listening to podcasts exactly exactly. So welcome one and all as we embark in this we've done a couple of episodes of setup with this urban shadows game and Brian I think we are all ready to try it out.

All right. So I'm going to turn it over to you. All right. So I think we'll open up upon Ian Luria. He has spent a while our basically gathering his wits having been ripped away from life and being ripped back into the world. He spent a bit of time being quite disoriented and being harassed by ghosts before some demony people.

The person may have helped him but we find him basically as he starts trying to figure out how to rectify his situation as he finds himself in front of the fraternity where he had his last breaths and a cold automar.

Seems pretty busy plenty of young college students, robberousing and drinking and having a you know their normal shenanigans is a and this.

What what did you call the fraternity omega Zeta omega omega Zeta omega all right.

I love that I don't know why but I was never in a fraternity in real life. So this is cool for me. All right. So yes. Find yourself cold automar. And evening.

Start out. Do I see anyone? Well there's plenty of drunk kids there and around the house. I shall sweep it out of the night in a sweepy fashion.

Just kind of make your way through the crowd. Yeah. You mainly see plenty of young people. Most of them were basically new pledges coming in when you were there.

Not too many of them probably to acquainted or at all knowledgeable about the more hidden depths of this fraternity which you have only were started to get initiated into within your later years there.

And that's I'm stabbing began and that's when the stabbing happened. All right. I'm thinking I'm going to go inside. Okay. Literally just going to walk up to the front door. Open the door and enter.

I can't. Yeah. The doors just wide open. People are just you know milling in and out. Some guys you know give you a side eye at your get up but choose not to say or do anything to impede you.

And still do I see anyone say particularly stabby. No you are not finding anyone who oddly you knew at the time. Can I find the keg. Yeah it's pretty easy to find there's a bit of a line around it. There is a keg. All right. And who is operating the keg?

Oh there's a tallish gentleman blonde hair cat backwards. I will. Oh God. Oh God. Now I'm starting to regret this team concept.

Sup, bro. Yeah. Sup, bro. Hey man you want a cup $10. No. But you can point me in the right direction. Okay. I want to find Calvin. Calvin. Calvin. I don't think I know a man. All right. So this is a new game for me.

This is a game that I've never played before. What? So I'm going to say that my first instinct is probably wrong. But I think I'm going to go with it. So I'm going to reach into my coat.

I'm going to bring out a large caliber pistol and I'm not going to aim it at anyone. But I am going to make it clear that I have such a thing.

And I'm going to look him in the eyes again. And I'm going to to ask him a question. Who is in charge?

I think at this point this is a good time to perhaps try the persuade an NPC move. Oh, how's that go? Well, when you persuade an NPC through seduction promises or threats roll with heart.

So if I'm understanding urban shadows correctly every time we're wanting to do something like what Matthew is describing, even if it's something mundane like I'm going to go across the street and talk to this person over there. We have to do like a basic move kind of stuff, right?

Not necessarily. It kind of just depends on the situation now with this. He's trying to get some specific information and applying a bit of a tricky leverage.

Yeah, I don't know if this seems like a equivalent of like a D and D intimidate check. Yeah, yeah. This isn't seem mundane. No, or basic. Yeah.
