Hi everyone, it's Steven Schleiger and Man Summer is currently underway at the Major Spoilers HQ,

which means I have a lot of interactions with kids.

My oldest son is home for the summer and we're finding all sorts of activities for him to do.

Most of them right now involve photography.

Math reading and of course playing video games, which brings me into my interactions with other

young ones because he has friends coming over and pool parties and I had a very interesting

conversation this week with someone who is I want to say like 16 17 years old and she's really

into Dungeons & Dragons. She's just discovered it in the last year. She plays it a lot with her friends.

The problem that they've run into though is that only one member of their group is the GM and more

of them would like to do it and she is thinking that over the summer she wants to create

her own game for everyone to play her own well I mean it's RPG but you know her own encounter her

own campaign and I was like oh cool what are you going to do and she really wants to set it in the

world of Percy Jackson and I don't know listeners is Dungeons & Dragons a good way to is that a good

system to use if you want to create a world of Percy Jackson I mean a lot of the Greek characters

the monsters that you would encounter are already in your Dungeons & Dragons books your maduses your

your your you know saters and those kinds of things so that might be pretty easy but I wonder if

there aren't any other systems that might be a better served for this now I know that when we

look in the world of popular character book characters turned into RPGs the Dresden files is one
