to discuss the preparations that were carried out for the Second Vatican Council.

We'll take a quick look at the First Vatican Council and what effect that had on this

second council, as well as why Pope John the 23rd wanted to convoke this council.

Then we'll take a look at the preparations themselves.

As you'll see, they were very extensive, and beyond some troubling details, they were, in fact,

very traditional and caused the Archbishop to be optimistic about the good that this council could accomplish.

How are things going up in Post Falls, Father?

Well, on the whole thing, seem to be going quite well.

In some ways, it seems like, you know, the difficulties that we've been living through

as a result of all the things taking place with COVID are affecting us a little less than,

I think, other places.
