You may not believe it, but the supernatural is real.

And author Chris Putnam is here today to talk about it.

Hey, Gary, it's great to be on the show with you.

Listen, we've got a lot to talk about today, and it's in my mind particularly appropriate

given the state of today's society. We're seeing Christians,

for example, being attacked. We're seeing people of faith being laughed at. But even more

than that, within the faith, within Christendom, there is kind of a tendency to put Christianity

in the category of philosophy and to deny the spiritual realities of the faith. Because the Bible

says that there is a spirit world, that there is power that comes through

salvation, and that we as Christians have access to that power, and roughly speaking, it's called

the supernatural. And so the title of your book, The Supernatural World View,

really speaks to Christians, and I suppose to non-Christians as well,

about the fact that, no, the supernatural is not only real,

but it's appropriate to integrate it into society,

to understand it, to acknowledge it.

And having said that, let's talk about chapter one.

You start off in your book talking about the paranormal.

And chapter one is called paranormal witness to gospel witness.

Paranormal, you know, television, those late night TV programs, ghost

hunters, everybody's talking about the paranormal. Within Christendom, we have an entirely

different view.
