Summary

Welcome back to this week's segment of the No Limit Minute for the Creative Capital Podcast. Today, I want to share a conversation I had with a friend who surprised me when he said that he actually makes it a point to read fewer books in a year as opposed to trying to read 50 or more. He says that instead of reading more, he wants to just read 3-5 key books and focus instead on implementing them. This concept blew my mind because I realized that I haven’t been exactly applying all the learnings I’ve gained from all the books that I’ve read. If you’re like me, then I’m pretty sure that you’ll find this No Limit Minute episode valuable. Listen in!

Why Less is More and Why Having Focus Key

  • Focus on soaking up and implementing the information from the books
  • Reading more books may mean that you are not implementing enough
  • Try to read 3-5 key books this year and commit to implementing them
  • Doing more work and putting in more hours don’t usually bring in results for your business
  • Sometimes we need to bring back the reins and have more focus on key activities

Key Quotes:

“People always tell us to do more, to work hard and heavy, to keep hustling, to keep grinding. But you really need to bring it back a little bit, focus on just a few things, and watch how far you actually get in your business.” - Josh Ferrari
