You're in a different location this time. I am. I'm at my mom's place here, just visiting with her, and she's interested in this stuff. So we thought we'd let her be part of it. This way, she doesn't have to listen to the podcast, although I don't think she can hear you because I've got the headphones on. Oh, well. And we just have so much fun stuff in the reading for this week.

More than really a person could possibly get through and talk about everything.

And so there are a number of little elements to this one, but we thought we'd hit a couple of key elements touching, I guess, just a little bit on the storyline, but also there's that extra reading in the Come Follow Me

Manual this week about what it means to be of the House of Israel. And of course, that's one of

my favorite subjects. And I know you love that subject, so we'll hit on that as well. Does that

sound good to you? Yeah, very good. So now, our listeners may remember that last week, we had a visit with Camille Frank Olson,

and we touched on a number of things about women in Genesis.

And so there are elements of this story that we covered there, but there's some things we didn't really talk about and go into depth.

And I've also, in other other interviews talked about Jacob and his experience

heading up to Bethel, but Lamar had some insights as we, we always just kind of chat a little

bit before we get this going while we're hooking up our mics and everything. And Lamar always has

this cool stuff he gets me interested in. So I thought it might be worth talking about.

As from last week, kind of the last thing we finished is that Issa wanted to kill Jacob and Rebecca was telling Jacob goodbye. Yeah. And yeah, that's exactly right. Get out of Dodge.

So and so Jacob is leaving and you get Isaac blessing Jacob and, I mean, this is a difficult farewell and so on.

And on his way up, he stops at a place that is called Luz at the time, but he'll rename it Bethel because of the experience he has there, which means House of God, which that's the same thing we call temples, right?

It's very much a temple experience. I thought you had some interesting insights, Lamar, about the

kind of ascending and dissension that we see here that I hadn't talked about in any of the other
