the Emmys are receding in our rearview mirror, but we're not going to let them go quite yet. We have to do a little bit of a post-mortem on that evening of whatever that was.

And I have to tell you, I felt very curmudgeonly watching modern family win again. I don't blame you.

Same as it ever was.

And to see, I mean, I'm a huge Breaking Bad fan as well, but to see that sweep again as well,

I felt like we had already said goodbye a year earlier.

And just about every winner had already won in the past, mostly for the same character, same role that they played.

So it was not an exciting year for winners, which was disappointing.

I thought maybe this would be the year that we would see a breakthrough, such as Oranges of the New Black, or Game of Thrones, or something sort of new and fresh, but buzzy win, and we just didn't get that. I mean, they gave Louis C.K. a little something, but other than that, it really did feel.

I thought, am I watching last year's show?

Yeah, you were watching late 2011, apparently. I don't think things have changed with the TV Academy viewers since then. And, you know, it goes to the heart of this is a big voting body.
