Hello everybody, welcome back to another pulp podcast. We've got a commission, a television

commission this time. Melanie wanted us to watch a few episodes of her, one of her favorite sitcoms,

Crazy X Girlfriend, which was an American romantic musical comedy, a television series that started in

2015, like I said, ran for, no, I haven't said this yet, it ran for four seasons. It stars Rachel

Bloom. She's also one of the co-creators and showrunners, as well as Aline McKinna,

and you'll be familiar with her work. She wrote The Devil Whereas Prada. We bought a zoo,

27 dresses, things along those lines. Rachel Bloom is the comedian actress who was discovered via YouTube

in the early 2010s. She's really famous for this video called, I want to, yeah, I think it's called,

I want to fuck Ray Bradbury, the crusty old science fiction writer. That's a weird topic for a song,

but okay. You do you, Rachel. He writes a lot of cosmically sexy stuff. Also Vincent Rodriguez,

the third, who is the co-star, I guess, arguably from what I've seen, but he hasn't done much since.

Santino Fontana, who you will probably recognize as Voices Hans from Frozen, Frozen 1 and 2,

as well as Donna Lynn Champlin. She has had some minor parts in Birdman, as well as the

Mount Damon downsizing movie. I've got a bunch of thoughts for Melanie, but I thought maybe we'd

start with our own impressions, because people are going to want to know right up front. Should I

watch this? Is this something I'd be interested in? I will say that it's the entirety of it's

available on Netflix right now. If you want to, if you want to check it out, it's one of those

40, 40-ish minutes, hour-length sitcoms with commercials. Jim, what'd you think a crazy ex-girl friend?

I'm going to say something that's probably going to scare some people, because it scared me.

It's on the CW, it's where it originally aired. CW show. It was originally pitched, I guess,

to show time, and they were like, eh. No thanks. Then the CW picked it up. That said,

I liked it. I enjoyed almost all of it, with maybe one glaring exception. Like you said,
