erstwhile center undergoes elbow surgery and his status for week one is now in question and so we

bring in Zach Burman who covers the team so definitely for the athletic and Zach what is the what

is the update here on Jason Kelsey his short term future his long term future where do the Eagles

go from here what should we expect from the timetable for him moving forward.

So Eagles Center Jason Kelsey as as you said art the Scopic surgery with the elbow which has

been bothering him it's it's an injury he's had in the past and they felt they being the team

and Kelsey felt that by taking care of this now it'll be the best a fixed issue and be hasten

his recovery my understanding is is that the timeline is typical for for this type for scopes

you know for for what the team's calling like a cleanup of the elbow and in that case you're

probably looking at you know two to four weeks and in time for opening day now I don't think

anyone's going to say firmly opening day but my understanding is that there's optimism around

that timeline and it's fair to speculate and opening day return it's August 9th right now the

season begins on September 9th oh I'm sorry on September 11th so if I had the bet Jason Kelsey
