Dean Gengler is a cattle farmer down in Indiana.

Dean, can you tell us what happened the other day?

Sure, sure.

First thing in the morning we get on the TV and go out and check our cows

and check to see if anything's happened over the night and

nothing was found on the first check and we returned then before lunch on our second check of the day and

unfortunately we had found a young calf in the snowbank and the calf was pretty much just lifeless. They put their fingers in our mouth and see the tongue temperature and if the calf has any life to it at all and basically there was nothing there.

How Dean, how old was this calf?

His calf was, if I was to guess we missed him on first check, you know, he was probably going to guess six hours old

It's going to be the guess not much longer that because it was below zero that evening so

He just wouldn't have lasted much longer. But his eyes did respond. So

he was breathing, trying to come up with a way and get him warmed up as quickly

as possible and we do have a luxury having a hot tub here on the farm.

So as I was bringing the calf up, literally just kind of popped in my head in the hot tubs there and it's

a hundred and three degrees. Let's give this a try. And so I just opened up the hot tub and jumped in with the calf. And so we were with the calf in hot tub for an hour.

You just got you just jumped right in there with the you wearing a full coat and

everything? Yeah well I did get my coach shut off and I actually did get my cell phone

to my wallet for it off and yeah to answer a question I just I tub with him and that's

so I could support him from underneath and keep his head

because he didn't hold his head up at all.

And so I could support his head and hold his body weight.

And yeah, I just totally glowed with little color.
