This is the Friends of Mr. Debating Society. I'm John Batch with my friend and colleague,

Thaddeus McHotter, of many years. And Thaddeus and I have enjoyed conversations about foreign

policy for many years. And this is a matter of great interest to everyone except when I explain

it, you're all going to shrug and go, yeah, we knew that. The Wall Street Journal is publishing

a story that the Department of Energy has now concluded that the COVID-19 pandemic that we're

still living with and will for the rest of our lives because of its iterations was the product

of a lab leak. Now, it uses the word unintended, I suppose because that's journalism these days.

You don't want to describe a motive, lab leak, unintended lab leak. However,

to construct a virus such as this as I understand it, you had to intend to construct it. It didn't

create itself. The leak might have been an accident, but the construction was a product of human

motives. Thaddeus, we knew this, but we didn't know it. And three years into the virus, does it change

things about how we regard China or how we regard Washington because there were moments in the

last three years, you know, because you and I have been on air and been writing when it was a risk

to say aloud with the Department of Energy and the FBI are now concluding a lab leak.

John, when we've talked about this, I believe we were around the air with Gordon Shang. We are

receiving an update from the World Health Organization that there was a new virus happening in Wuhan.

And we were told by the World Health Organization the good news was that it was not easily transferable

between human beings. We said that on the air. We cited that with Gordon. It was January 6th, 2020.

I remembered exactly because it was our first night back on air after the Christmas and New Year

and that was the first lie that the elites gave us about COVID-19. It was the first lie that they told

us and they have continued to lie about this from day one. The public has always believed that it was a

leak out of a lab. Very few have ever really argued that. It certainly wasn't some bad in a wet
