When I was asked to record some episodes for this podcast, I thought I'd try to take

you behind the stories that you may be watching from Ukraine.

To do that, I've been talking with some of the best journalists covering the fighting

in the humanitarian crisis it's created.

Reporters are certainly not the story here, but they have chosen to come and cover the

story here.

And I'm sort of interested in understanding why.

Why are some people drawn to this war, drawn to witnessing up close the reality, the horror

of war?

What is the Tug War has on some of the people who cover it?

You can see around me there's been quite significant destruction here over the past 48

hours.

That building clearly took a direct hit.
